Operating Principle: Typically connected to the circuit in parallel. It maintains a high‑impedance state during normal operation without interfering with signal transmission. Upon transient overvoltage occurrence, it rapidly switches to a low‑impedance state to provide a discharge path for electrostatic current.

Key Features: Ultra‑fast nanosecond‑scale response, low capacitance, and effective voltage clamping to safe levels.

Typical Applications: I/O port protection for high‑speed data interfaces such as HDMI and USB.
